Mediocrity kills. For us there is no middle road. Whoever says is an anarchist, faces a decisive dilemma either to act or to clam up and abandon anarchy. Because anarchy at the tail-end of legality and minced words is not possible. (unreleased text by C.C.F.) I. Symbolisms inside coincidences After almost two years the third trial of the state against the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire is coming to its end. The theatrical show of the court is peaking through the “sacred” act of the apologies. The symbolism of the words in not coincidental. Indeed for the legal civilization the apology is considered to be a “sacred” right of the accused. It reminds the confession of the worshiper to the priest. It is the s... “I don’t believe in rights. Life, which is all a manifestation of incoherent forces, unknown and unknowable, rejects the human artificiality of the right. Rights were born when life was taken away from us. Indeed, originally, humanity had no rights. It lived and that was everything. Today, instead, there are thousands of rights; one could accurately say that everything which we have lost we call a right. I know that I live and that I desire to live. It is most difficult to put this desire into action. I am surrounded by a humanity that wants what everyone else wants. My isolated affirmation is a most serious crime. Laws and morals, in competition, intimidate and persuade me. The “blond rabbi” [I.e., Christ or Christi... (From: TheAnarchistLibrary.org.)
1) Disobedience is a virtue “You are obliged to pretend to respect people and institutions that you consider irrational. You live by fashion in a cowardly era, attached to ethical and social conventions you despise, that you condemn and you know they lack of any background. It is this constant contradiction between your ideas and desires and all the dead formalities and conceited spearheads of a culture that makes you sad, disoriented and unbalanced. In this unbearable struggle you lose every dance for life, all sense of your personality as every moment they oppress, they limit and control the freedom of your strength. This is a poisonous and deadly blow caused by the civilized world.” Octave Mirbeau We have long sin... (From: TheAnarchistLibrary.org.)
i) Frozen Marxism Today’s era smells like engine oil, cheap labor sweat and naphthalene of the morality of voluntary obedience… We do not want to be defined by the culture of techno-industrial fascism, the white uniforms of scientists, the neckties of technocrats, the eager silences of ordinary people, the stupid smiles of consumers… We do not match with the esthetics of the glass world of flat television screens, the digital imitation of the life of social media, the display windows of lifestyle, the lens of security cameras. We do not fit in the society of captivity, the police checks of our identification papers, the supervision of security guards, the laws of the judges, the locked doors of prisons. We do not sett... A provocation… The flight of Christodoulos Ksiros from prison and his return to the armed struggle. Many lies… The tv monologue, which describes how things inside prison are, making them look like a movie. “Terrorists who run things in prison…” “The members of CCF are bossing prison guards around” “Terrorists celebrate new year’s Eve and plan a prison escape.” The enemy… The contruction of a prison inside prison codenamed “maximum security prison, type C”. A truth… All of the world’s locks are not enough to imprison our unfaltering decision to remain enemies of authority until the end… I. Propaganda becomes practice In recent mo... INTERVISTA CCF/ALFREDO COSPITO From the Greek prisons to AS2 unit of the prison of Ferrara: a few words of “freedom”. Interview by CCF to myself. Before answering your questions, I’d like to stress that what i’m about to say is my own truth. One of the many points of view, sensitivities and individual nuances within that crucible of thought and action that goes under the name of FAI-FRI. Informal federation that, rejecting any hegemonic temptation, represents a tool, a method of one of the components of anarchism of praxis. Anarchism of praxis that only when it is informal, without being forced into organizational structures (specific, formal, of synthesis) when it doesn’t seek the unbearable consent (there... Prison is a milestone in the revolutionaries’ path towards freedom. It’s an intermediary stop, but not the end. The authority often chooses the subtraction from mathematics. Like when they subtract lives with bombings in the warzones of their energy-generating and geopolitical interests, like when they subtract refugees from the cityscapes, entombing them in isolated concentration camps, like they subtract the smallest crumbs of the underpaid wage slavery, beating more brutally with whips, bodies that have gotten used to rickets, like when they want to subtract everyone who defies them, by locking them up inside prisons… In this way, every revolutionary anarchist is facing the biggest contradiction. They are fighting fo... (From: TheAnarchistLibrary.org.)
Answering to the international call in solidarity with Francisco Solar and Monica Caballero, who are captured by the Spanish state and accused of detonating a bomb in a church, we contribute some random thoughts about the tyranny of their gods. “Never again will we be good, mediocre believers, of a mediocre God, a slur of man. We anticipate the ressurection of the living…” (fragment from a communique claiming four bombing attacks against four churches in April 2009, by CCF) Churches built like scarecrows to frighten life. Everything beautiful, passionate, indomitable, undiscovered condemned as a sin. Life fills prohibitions and servility is praised. It is good that there are churches, to remind us that religion ... What is your view on the practice of squatting? Squats are a timeless means of anarchist insurgency. Comrades who occupy a building in the metropolis are in fact liberating a space within it, and disrupting the militarized uniformity of urban planning. A squat can be a hostile point against the domination of merchandise, advertising, and against the spectacle itself. It constitutes a zone of war directed against fascists, cops, and law-abiding citizens. It is in reality a space where ideas, emotions, creativity and solidarity are liberated. There, time is defined only by our desires, and not by the clock of coercion and mandates. However, a squat in itself is not the center of the struggle. Really, anarchy does not have centers; it is c... (From: TheAnarchistLibrary.org.)
Starting from somewhere – Scattered remarks To begin, we want to share our joy with you . The joy we feel because as we write, we feel, that despite being locked inside the walls of captivity, a part of us is out there free along with you, discussing, doubting and planning new sabotages against the authority of the social apparatus. Of course, this could never have happened if it wasn’t for the valuable contribution of comrades who keep us informed about the international experimentations of new anarchy and strive to translate our texts. So, the following notes come from a series of discussions we had inside the CCF Imprisoned Members Cell, on the occasion of the international gathering in Mexico. The thoughts we want to s... Today we live in the time of fear, the kingdom of degeneration. All around us spreads a sick world which refuses however to die. The world of economy falls but does not collapse. All preachers of every ideology, scientists, economists, journalists, politicians, sociologists, syndicalists, leftists, humanitarians, agree to a common truth, called “economic crisis”. Thus the ghost of the economic crisis hovers above the formerly privileged territory of the western civilization, after leaving behind it hecatombs of dead people and ruins of war in the “undeveloped countries” of the rest of the world. But we refuse the truth they offer us. We refuse to be lost in mathematical equations, economical terms and loan contract... (From: TheAnarchistLibrary.org.)
Editorial by CCF: How We Came up With the Concept of Black International Editions We certainly have a lot more to do and even more to say. Frequently requested is the answer to the question of “what do we target?” From the very first day of the imprisonment of each of us we never stopped the production of our speech and our suggestions and imperatives. Through texts, communiques, thoughts, discussions on other texts, pamphlets, translations … Of course, we do not forget nor never forgot, that theory is a tool which obtains its authentic meaning only when combined with the underlying action. We never wanted to settle for harmless theoretical investigations, nor believed that the acts speak for themselves alone. They ... (From: TheAnarchistLibrary.org.)
(The following answer was given by Christos Tsakalos of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire, on air, during an interview by the self-organized radio of 105FM. The question was what does the CCF think of technology) I think this is one of the most important questions, as in Greece, the part of anarchist criticism of technology, unfortunately, is a part that is quite unrecognized and isolated, while on the contrary, technology is all around us. And technology is neither marginalized nor isolated. Summarizing the core of my answer, I could tell you that, in my opinion, every science is in the service of the authority. Technology turns our lives, what we live in today, what we feel, into a mechanical process, into statistics. In a laboratory exper... (From: TheAnarchistLibrary.org.)
(For the April 20th court of appeal). “The distance that separates freedom from slavery… is boldness…” On April 20th, at Korydallos prison, the Court of Appeal for the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire begins. We’re on trial for the explosive device found at the house in Halandri (“Halandri” case), for the bombings of the former Interior Minister P. Hinofotis’s house (he worked in the army during the years of the Junta), of the home of the ex-deputy and current president of the Bank of Greece L.Katseli and the bombing of the Macedonia-Thrace Ministry, on the eve of the Thessaloniki International Fair. We are also accused of sending parcel bombs to embassies, international police-judicial insti... (From: TheAnarchistLibrary.org.)
When a door closes behind you, another opens ahead. That is how we felt when the door of the prison opened, closing the door on the era when we were free… A new world appeared before us. A world narrow and built of concrete, where good day and good night are abolished. Prison is a shadow apart in the transparent galley of democracy. Here, time is uncountable and days push slowly against each other, melancholically, indifferent, mechanical. Here, the seasons of the year die within a calendar hung on the wall, and nostalgia takes its revenge, disinterring memories, emotions, loved ones, sceneries and thoughts that never materialized into praxis. But the wolf that exists within us stays awake and hungry. All these days, all these mont... (From: TheAnarchistLibrary.org.)
Text from the comrades concerning the creation of an assembly of solidarity and action with the political prisoners SOLIDARITY MEANS ATTACK i) C’ Type prisons – an act of war C’ type prisons wish to become the monument of the state’s victory against the urban guerrilla warfare. It is a bet for us, if we’re going to let thousand tonnes of concrete, the bars and the locks beat the human will for freedom, a bet which is to be answered through action by the enemies of the regime and the friends of freedom. For years now, politically, TV personalities of the system and salaried pen-holders of the police, have engaged in a mud fight against the urban guerrilla warfare, with the depoliticizing of it. “Os... Knowledge chooses its project, each project is new and chooses its moments, each moment is new, but simultaneously emerges from the memory of all the moments that existed before — The Interior of the Absolute 1. The Beginning The Fire Cells Conspiracy revolutionary organization didn’t begin its activity from out of nowhere. It wasn’t as if a straight line had cut through space and time. It was a future crying out from the past. The Conspiracy comprised a collective synthesis, connecting the backgrounds and viewpoints of all who participated in it and drawing valuable conclusions from past experiences of subversive projects and attacks we took part in. It represented our desire to take a step further, not to ... (From: TheAnarchistLibrary.org.)
We write now locked in our cells, dozens of kilometers away from one another, hostages where we were exiled by the vengefulness of the juridical authorities scattered in the prisons of greece, Corfu, Komotini, Grevena, Domokos, Thebes… We write and we are certain that our voice, no matter how they try to bury it in the drowning cells of democracy, has the strength to still shout. To shout for freedom, for inversion, for revolution. Shout for another way of life were we will all be “kings” without slaves. For a world without authority, police and prisons. We still have the thirst to speak of our struggle, about our rights and wrongs, about this unique journey to the oceans of mutiny where we wandered through the Conspira... As your military court will now keep on listening to the witnesses declarations referring to three attacks of the Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire, we want to clarify a few things. Quite often, both the judge and the public prosecutor ask questions on the power of the explosive devices. They ask whether these devices were powerful or not, and if they posed a risk to human life. Our position as Conspiracy is quite concrete. We pay no respect to human life, that’s all. Human life in itself does not consitute any ideal or supreme value. Life creates the chance to make choices. The choices we made are those that give value to our life and define it. Obviously, the choices made by a dignitary of Power, a judge or a jailer not only have n... (From: TheAnarchistLibrary.org.)
